History

The Riverside Wind Consort was begun in 2002 with the purpose of presenting concerts of chamber music for wind instruments, especially works infrequently heard. Its concerts have featured performances by members of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra conducted by the organization's found Robert Patterson.

In 2006 it obtained its 501(c)(3) charitable organization status. In 2007 it will be one of the sponsors of the Belvedere Chamber Music Festival to be held in Memphis, Tennessee June 20-23. It will also be working closely with performances by the Luna Nova New Music Ensemble.
